Four Wheels

Wooden Förster Skateboard by Sven Gabriel

View all 14 Photos

The Förster, or “forester,” Skateboard is a wooden design by Sven Gabriel, a German designer based in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin. The idea has been touched on before, notably in the form of this Tree Bark Skateboard Deck by Christophe Guinet, but Gabriel’s take is distinct with a tapered, slender look and just a rim of bark outlining the edges. Crafted from a single piece of wood, the unique deck has a warm, natural look that’s underscored by the amber-colored wheels. It’s practically the perfect board for riding by the city’s urban greenery.
