Vorstadt 14 by Roger Stüssi

The experience is completely raw…opens the door for simple pleasures like hearing the first rains hit the roof or that giddy feeling of getting to the couch to pick up where you left off in a good read. Such a place is Vorstadt 14 set in the Swiss Alps, before snow has graced the waterfront village of Zug. Sitting between other buildings just the same, this build features traditional shuttered windows and a dormer pushing out the fourth floor. Every room is meticulously renovated to enhance the history, still maintaining certain luxurious amenities. Mixing modern with medieval, surfaces vary from old stone and rough wooden beams to sleek concrete and black steel. Things are simple and brief, minimal but still lovely in every way.
