An award-winning bike created by an urban bicycle maker and a custom motorcycle workshop.
We previously wrote about a custom BMW R100R bike completed by Austrian workshop Vagabund Moto. Now, the team has partnered with Urwahn Bikes to upgrade a gorgeous urban commuter. Launched in 2017, the Urhwahn Stadtfuchs bike enters its next evolutionary step. Named Urwahn x Vagabund Stadtfuchs, the bicycle blends minimalist style and well-designed ergonomics in a quality, versatile build. This all-rounder features a high-grade steel frame developed for urban environments, with a focus on stability, reliability, and safety.
An innovative, elastic rear suspension enhances riding comfort by softening road bumps. The integrated, hub-powered LED lighting system also comes with a built-in GPS tracking system, for more peace of mind. Specially designed inlays allow the user to secure the bike easily and enhance the anti-theft features further. The Urwahn x Vagabund Stadtfuchs comes with a low maintenance Gates’ Carbon Drive CDX system with an 11-speed gear hub, hydraulic brakes, and a Brooks Cambium C15 all-weather saddle.
Other features include internal cable routing, threads for rack and mud guards, and an integrated seat clamp as well as tires with puncture protection and a black reflective stripe. A black and gray color palette keeps the design minimalist and elegant at the same time. The Urwahn x Vagabund Stadtfuchs bike is available to order now at a price of around $5.000. The bicycle has received the Best of the Best Bicycle Design Award at the Red Dot Design Awards 2019. Photographs© Stefan Leitner.
