Up Balloon Coffee Table by Duffy London

View all 5 Photos

Back in September 2012 Duffy London surprised us with the playful and very successful Swing Table. Few months went by and Chris Duffy is back again, blowing our minds with the Up Coffe Table. Working with the illusion of levitation and buoyancy, the UP coffee table is a playful trompe l’oeil, giving the impression that a piece of glass is being suspended by party balloons. (See also the The Hot Desk at Boys and Girls Creative Agency)

The balloons are actually made from a metal resin composite with a strengthened steel rod as the string. This table is a limited edition of twenty, hand made in the UK, and designed without compromise to manufacturing processes, and so are extremely time consuming to create. Price?  Well, the Up Table is not exactly set to become next Walmart’s best seller but surely worth every penny. Find out more here
