Timelessness, sustainability, vegan materials and function – all brought together in a stunning collection of minimalist bags and backpacks.

Since 2001, Berlin-based Ucon Acrobatics has set itself apart from other brands by making bags and backpacks with an inspired combination of minimalist style, versatility, sustainable design principles, green manufacturing methods, and long-lasting vegan materials. The company’s applies its motto of “minimal design, minimal emission” to every product, whether it’s a small tote bag, a backpack or scarf. With a stated goal of minimizing animal suffering and environmental destruction, the company has established a manufacturing process that uses recycled and upcycled materials from textile waste wherever possible. Additionally, the materials are vegan and always free of PFC and PVC. Apart from lowering each products’ carbon footprint, Ucon Acrobatics also plants a tree for every purchase and removes up to 1kg of plastic waste from waterways.

While obviously made with a focus on sustainability, all of the brand’s bags and minimalist backpacks stun with their timelessness, tactile materials that have an exceptionally smooth finish, and functional features. The company takes inspiration from Berlin‘s thriving creative scene to create each design. Made for a younger generation who values artistic sensibility and quality as well as versatility, the Ucon Acrobatics collection comprises everything from small hand bags and tote bags to cross-body bags and backpacks. Different in their purpose and functionality, all of these backpacks and bags have a crucial thing in common: beautifully designed, they share a minimalist style with no superfluous details.

Signature series that offer incredible versatility and convenient features.

In addition, different series offer distinct features that suit different needs. For example, the Commute series. Designed to handle even harsh weather conditions while riding a bike to or from work, this collection is made from a weather-resistant tarpaulin material. Likewise, the Satellite and Phantom series feature reflective accents that greatly boost visibility at night. Other collections take inspiration from nature with earthy color options or feature innovative leather alternatives made from resource-saving, recycled textiles.

Many of the Ucon Acrobatics bags and backpacks have multifunctional designs. Think hand bags that transform into backpacks or cross-body bags with a simple adjustment of flexible straps. Or backpacks with practical roll-tops that users can quickly adjust according to their needs. Integrated EVA foam fillings not only enhance comfort, but also ensure that the bags have perfect dimensional stability. Water-repellent zippers and waterproof materials ensure that each bag and backpack provides a safe way to carry essentials.

The Ucon Acrobatics collection comes in a huge range of colors that include both neutral and more eye-catching hues. Some products also feature a dual tone palette with contrasting accents, offering a great way to add a pop of color to an outfit. Additionally, the company collaborates with local artists and creatives to produce limited-edition series. The collection also includes matching accessories like scarves, hats, wallets, or laptop sleeves, among others. Discover the brand’s bag and backpack collection in the Gessato Design Store.
