TSATSAS, Handcrafted Leather Bags

View all 10 Photos

It all began with Dimitrios’s father who continues to refine the art of working with leather for over 30 years. He has spent his life working hard, paving the way by producing leather goods in Offenbach am Main. Esther Schulze-Tsatsas and Dimitrios Tsatsa have caught the vision of this family tradition and have started creating handmade leather bags in Germany using the same techniques passed down from the previous generation.

A fine line rests between the world of luxury products to the world of luxury products of elite heritage. The result is a timeless accessory representing luxury that has proved itself through history. With great pride they feature TSATSAS with its collection of six bags including Lucid, Lucid Mid, Lucid Ninety, Fluke, Xela, Niche. The traditional silhouette of the Lucid is straight forward with classy handles and a long zipper; whereas the expressive design of the Xela leans more toward the youthful scene, featuring drawstring and backpack straps.  The interiors all include the iconic blue dye, lovely and sophisticated.

Their immaculate line of leathers come from animals reared for meat production from Nothern Italy, France, South America, South India and New Zealand.  Superb character is drawn out from the age old tanning process.  They have taken initiative to change some of the craft toward the environmentally friendly.  The bags are free of AZO dyestuffs, PCP and chrome VI. They only use high-grade skins and hides of calf skin and lamb nappa.
