Minimalism, playfulness and utilitarian design often combine in the work of Spanish designer André Simón. The founder of the A\Studio creates objects that intrigue and inspire. From a granite pendant light reminiscent of traditional Spanish dwellings from the pre-Roman times to a clothing rack with four components interconnected like puzzle pieces to create a structure resembling an animal. Trespatas has a similar concept to the latter. The trestle is cleverly simple and brings both impressive functionality and versatility to the modern home.
Connected without glue or screws, the pieces of pine wood fit together perfectly to provide optimum stability. Using any flat surface, whether a panel of glass or a wooden board, the user can easily create a table in any living space or office. Apart from representing modern functionality at its finest, Trespatas also encourages creativity through its versatile design. Photo credits: André Simón.
