Tree Tent by Luminair

View all 14 Photos

Imagine yourself surrounded by trailing green leaves, fuzzy moss underfoot, the smell of natures morning breath, kind of like soil and humidity. Rather than disturbing all that beauty, take it all in suspended above the forest in a Tree Tent. They are made by UK design group Luminair who wanted to provide a shelter less intrusive to wildlife primarily for campers and forest rangers. The sphere pod hovers over the plants, insects, and passing through animals as if no one was ever there. They were designed in this shape so rain water would easily run off. The standard tent is made with a waterproof cotton canvas that resists UV damage, insulated with wool for warmth. Available options include amenities such as wood stove, water, and renewable electricity.
