Modern, striking, minimalist, green, and distinctive. This custom Suzuki Leafy Savage electric bike designed by Night Shift Bikes is all of these things and more, but it could also be summarized in just one word: surprising. The design defies the norm thanks to creative decisions that give the 2003 Suzuki Savage a distinct personality, revealing the intricate wiring yet maintaining a clean and refined appearance intact. Since the bike was transformed into an electric one and everything is left exposed, the changes are immediately visible. The engine was replaced with a black EnerTrac motor located in the rear hub and a Nissan Leaf battery pack. Both are connected to the Kelly controller, placed under the seat and rated for 250 amps; even though it is currently set for city riding and a range of around 100 miles, it can be adjusted to either provide more range or more power. The gas tank was replaced with an Eltek charger that can provide up to 3000 watts at 220 volts and can be easily connected to any household outlet using an extension cord to charge the battery in under three hours. Other custom upgrades include a LED headlight, new shocks, charge and data ports, toggle switches, an m-lock wireless key, and front fork drop hardware. Designed for city streets, this fierce Suzuki Leafy Savage will certainly turn heads and even start conversations with its modern and creative appearance. Photo credits: Night Shift Bikes.
