The Stealth Sock has a License to Kill Odors

In any good spy film, the action, villains and intrigue all play second fiddle to the true star; advanced (and often impossible) gadgets, usually cleverly disguised as ordinary object. Everything from a pen to a shoe can be embedded with ulterior purposes and incredible technology in the world of movies, but why can’t this inventive spirit be applied to our everyday lives? This question is what lead Ben Yelian and Kevin Shih to found Maison Impeccable in early 2015, with the goal of funneling this essence into the design of clothes that perform better and overall just make more sense. After much trial and error, the duo is proud to be putting the finishing touches on their first product: codename Stealth Sock.

The Stealth Sock may look like an ordinary men’s sock at first glance, but hidden within its fabric are cutting-edge technologies that combined achieve the impossible.

The Stealth Sock may look like an ordinary men’s sock at first glance, but hidden within its fabric are cutting-edge technologies that combined achieve the impossible; a sock that fits well and won’t develop a foul odor during wear. The secret lies in both the materials chosen as well as a pinpointed structure that treats each part of the sock differently. The sock has weaved into it a combination of silver ions to suppress odor-causing bacteria and carbon nanoparticles that absorb any remaining odor, with polymer reinforcement on the heel and toe to provide more support and comfort to the wearer. The footbed uses a hexagon cushioning that relieves pressure on high-impact areas and works with a dynamic band to give unparalleled arch support. An open-weave mesh instep gives the users ventilation to improve circulation as well as further cut down on any moisture build-up that could result in discomfort or stinky feet, and the whole build is capped off with a self-adjusting cuff to make sure the sock stays on your calf. All of these elements work together to make the perfect sock, and thanks to its polymeric matrix thread design its effectiveness is guaranteed to last through at least a hundred washes. So whether you’re 007 or just have an important meeting to attend at 7, the Stealth Sock will keep your feet as dry as a martini, shaken or stirred.
