An eagerness to create beautifully designed products to a high standard of craftsmanship and a strong desire to create American jobs stand at the center of Detroit-based Shinola. The brand opened its watch factory in 2012 in Detroit, thus making a long-held dream a reality while also defying the trend of manufacturing products overseas. A leather goods collection and a high-end bicycle range soon followed. Now Shinola has teamed up with audio experts and the iconic American turntable manufacturer VPI to launch the Runwell Turntable.

Crafted to perfection and featuring a sleek, minimalist design, the turntable blends style, premium quality and function. Silvery gray surfaces with matte or polished finishes complement wooden accents that boast organic grain patterns. The two-speed, belt-driven turntable can be used straight out of the box, since it comes with an integrated phono preamplifier and an Ortofon 2M blue phono moving magnet cartridge. Produced initially in a limited-edition of just 500 pieces, the Runwell Turntable is available to order now on the official website at a price of $2,500. A special, all-black edition is set for a Black Friday launch and you can pre-order it here. Photo credits: Shinola.
