The Helly Hansen JPN Parka

View all 6 Photos

A practical, 3-in-1 parka with two jackets you can wear together or separately.

While Norwegian brand Helly Hansen specializes in professional-grade gear for skiers, mountaineers, and people with active lifestyles, it also offers a collection of urban apparel that incorporates similar high-tech materials and features. Their new JPN 3IN1 Parka follows the same design principles of the Helsinki 3-in-1 Coat and the Highlands Jacket. Simple and versatile, it has a clean design that references Japanese minimalism. The parka also has a convenient 3-in-1 construction; it allows you to wear only the outer jacket or to combine it with an inner jacket for extra warmth. The quilted inner jacket can also be worn on its own.

Made from the waterproof HELLY TECH® Performance material, the outer jacket has a 3-layer fabric construction; thus, it provides complete protection from rainy weather and windy conditions. The lightweight but insulated inner jacket features 60g PrimaLoft® insulation to keep the user warm. Apart from two main pockets with a hidden snap closure on the outer jacket, the JPN 3IN1 Parka also features two front pockets with a snap closure on the inner jacket. Other features include a fishtail design with a drawcord adjustment, the YKK® front zipper with a storm flap, embroidery on one sleeve, and adjustable cuffs on the outer layer. The Helly Hansen JPN 3IN1 Parka comes in two colors, the lighter Pelican and the dark Navy version. You can find both of them at a price of $450 in the brand’s online store.
