Back in April, Solebox and ASICS launched the Gel-Lyte “Blue Carpenter Bee” Part III sneakers made with a creative design inspired by the blue carpenter bee. The runners featured powerful color contrasts and a futuristic appearance that included reflective and translucent accents. Now the two companies have released another version inspired by the colorful bee, the Gel-Lyte Part II.
The sneakers are designed by Solebox founder Hikmet Sugoer and feature the ASICS-patented Gel-Lyte cushioning. The lighter, more refined blend of textures, materials and colors include light blue and white, along with a black goatskin and gray suede upper. On the back and tongue, the logos of the two brands are stitched in reflective thread, while the pull tabs boast stitching in gray. The white and pale blue outsole and interior add a touch of color to the design and maintain the palette of the previous model, albeit in a more subtle way. The Gel-Lyte “Blue Carpenter Bee” Part II will be available from July 16, both online and in Solebox’ Munich store. Images courtesy of Solebox.
