Elegantly simple, the Skagerak Pelago collection brings style and comfort to outdoor spaces.

Since 1976, Danish furniture brand Skagerak has celebrated Scandinavian design, traditional craftsmanship, and sustainable manufacturing methods with every collection it produces. The designs have also received some of the most prestigious awards in the industry, from the German Design Award to the Red Dot Design Award. The recently announced Skagerak Pelago collection follows the brand’s winning recipe. Created in a collaboration with Stockholm-based firm Note Design Studio, this outdoor furniture range pays homage to the company’s Scandinavian roots with a minimalist aesthetic and beautiful craftsmanship.

The range comprises a lounge chair, a dining chair, an armchair, a sunbed, and a table. Made using complementing materials, the Skakerak Pelago collection features FSCTM-certified teak wood and lightweight aluminum as well as quality textiles and outdoor-friendly fabrics. The teak wood will develop a patina over time and with use, gaining more character and is turns from a warm honey color to a silvery gray hue. At the same time, the quality of the products guarantees that they last for generations. To ensure that the designs blend into any outdoor space with ease, from porches and terraces to hotel pool areas, Skagerak used two versatile and nature-inspired colors: Light Ivory and Hunter Green.

The Skagerak Pelago collection includes every piece of furniture one might need to create a cozy and elegant outdoor lounge and dining space. The Pelago Lounge Chair has a solid teak frame and a weatherproof Sling fabric seat. While the seat provides excellent support, the reclined back allows the user to relax completely. Two wooden armrests provide generous space for a book or a drink. Custom-made for the Pelago lounge chair, the Pelago cushion enhances seating comfort further. Available separately, the cushion features a quick-dry foam filling and a Sunbrella woven fabric that is both weatherproof and durable.

Designed with comfort and function in mind.

Perfect for outdoor dining areas, the Pelago Chair has a powder-coated aluminum frame that supports a teak back and seat. The chair is lightweight as well as conveniently stackable up to 5 chairs high. The Pelago Armchair suits lounge areas and dining spaces in equal measure. It has wide armrests but the slender frame makes it easy to use in a set around a dining table. Even though it has armrests, this armchair is stackable in a set of two. Similarly to the lounge chair from the Skagerak Pelago collection, the armchair comes with an optional cushion.

The Pelago Table seats 6-8 people and comes with optional extension plates that increase that number to 12. Made from powder-coated aluminum and teak wood, the table features rounded edges. Finally, the Pelago Sunbed brings more style to pool areas and terraces. It features a teak wood frame with practical wheels for easy mobility and a flexible backrest with 5 positions. A Sling fabric completes the design. The sunbed also comes with optional armrests and cushions that enhance both comfort and function. More than elegant and versatile furniture, the Skagerak Pelago collection is crafted using sustainable materials and responsible manufacturing practices. The range will be available from March 2022.
