State-of-the-art technology meets modern Danish design.

We have some good news for those who love smart technology, but can’t find a timeless timepiece that blends Scandinavian design and minimalism. Danish brand Skagen has recently announced the launch of its latest model, the Falster Smartwatch. And it’s everything one would expect from the popular watch manufacturer. The first touchscreen Skagen smartwatch, Falster bridges the gap between practical gadgets and thoughtful design. Minimal and clean, the dial aims to provide information in an easy and perfectly clear way. “We want to take the best of what technology has to offer and create a timepiece that lives up to our belief in good design for better living. We’ve strived to create unique dials only possible in digital, proving it’s not just what’s inside the watch that counts but rather how you choose to use it,” says says Frederik Thrane, Creative Director of Skagen.

Powered by Android Wear 2.0 and Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100, the watch offers plenty of features to simplify the everyday. These include automatic accuracy, activity tracking, smartwatch notifications and voice commands as well as music control and Bluetooth technology. All accessible via the touchscreen combined with the press and turn of the crown. A digital assistant named Dan is also conveniently included. Naturally, Falster is compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones. The timepiece comes with black or brown leather straps, while the mesh strap options include stainless steel and rose. Priced between $275-$295, this Skagen Smartwatch will be available online by the end of January, 2018. Photographs© Skagen.
