A bespoke, limited-edition watch inspired by a special Porsche car.
Singer Vehicle Design has made waves in the automotive world with beautifully customized classics like the Porsche 911. The DLS (Dynamics and Lightweighting Study) series takes things even further with a modern take on the Porsche 964 that keeps the character of the original but enhances it with cutting-edge technology and materials designed to improve performance and significantly lower the weight of the car. Singer Reimagined is a sister company that produces bespoke timepieces inspired by the Singer collection. The limited-edition Singer Track 1 DLS watch connects the brand’s Track 1 chronograph to the new DLS series. And it does it in style.
Custom and exclusive, the watch features a forged carbon case that gives a nod to the Porsche DLS lightweight build. Bespoke cutouts on the 43mm case also reference the car’s distinctive air intakes. The pilot-style case features a polished grade 5 titanium bezel, crown, pushers, and caseback as well as a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Orange hands stand out against the brushed gray dial, while a luminous finish on the hour markers ensures that they remain visible even at night.
The watch features a raised track, sweeping seconds hand, and instantaneous jumping hours and minutes chronograph hand. Inside the case, a Singer 6361 automatic mechanical movement powers the watch; it has a 60-hour power reserve and comes with 477 parts, which include 67 jewels. The strap also features automotive-inspired accents; made from a dark green textile material, it boasts a folding clasp as well as screw-down titanium rivets. The Singer Track 1 DLS is limited-edition, with only 75 timepieces planned for the series. Only owners of a Porsche DLS will have the chance to purchase one, but they’ll be able to customize it completely to match the color and trim of their car. Photography© Singer Reimagined.
