Following the global success of his fashion and perfume lines, Issey Miyake started the Watch Project in 2001, overseeing the launch of several watch collections which were all created by renowned designers. The latest collection, Series C, features a watch designed by Ichiro Iwasaki, a furniture and product designer who has received an iF Design Award and a Red Dot Design Award. Minimalist and stylish, the new watch provides a refined take on the classic chronograph. “Pure lines and numerals exist beyond time, place and gender”, says Iwasaki. Versatile and perfect for any occasion and daily wear, the watch boasts simple lines and numerals, with luminous hands providing readability in low light conditions. The watch has a quartz movement, a stainless steel case, a 5 bar water resistance, and a battery that will last for two years. The unisex design comes in a minimalist box designed by Iwasaki and is available in a black or white version; band options include stainless steel, nylon, and genuine leather in black and brown.
