A backpack that transforms into a handy handlebar bag.

Italian brand Sentier designs bike gear for both urban commuters and adventurers. Made with convenience in mind, the brand’s collection aims to enhance the riding experience. Wherever that may be. With the innovative Svolta bag, Sentier brings something new to the market while providing a clever solution to an everyday problem for many cyclists. Sentier founder Andrea Signoretto first thought about creating the bag during a bike trip across the Alps. While riding through the Giovo Pass, he realized that he wanted more functionality from his own bag. An adjustable backpack that would adapt to different needs and uses, without compromising either safety or comfort. The Svolta bag was born.

Launched after two years of development, the bag marks a first in the cycling gear industry. It’s a handlebar bag that transforms into a backpack. And the other way around. Crucially, the user doesn’t need any tools or fixtures for the conversion. The high-performance backpack features soft padding as well as a secured load distribution. That way, the backpack feels comfortable to carry around even when completely full. If the backpack has a capacity of up to 18L, the handlebar can carry up to 4L in a compact volume. The transition from the larger bag to the smaller handlebar bag is easy, allowing the users to free up their back while riding.

Completely waterproof, Svolta has a RipStop Nylon exterior with an eco-friendly as well as durable PU coating. The material is long-lasting, withstands even harsh weather conditions, and resists wear to look great for a long time. Keeping in line with the brand’s mission, Svolta is ideal for both commuters and adventure traveling. “I grew up on a bike, literally racing at first and traveling worldwide now. This is the bag I always dreamed about and I believe it’s the right solution for anyone with an active lifestyle or the approach of life as an adventure,” says Andrea Signoretto. The brand launched Svolta through Kickstarter on November 6,2018. Of course, backers have the opportunity to grab the innovative bag at a reduced price.
