Three elegant products with creative designs.

The start of the 2022 Milan Design Week is just around the corner. With many renowned furniture and lighting brands choosing this event to launch new collections, this is an extra-special month for design lovers. Italian company Ronda Design will introduce three new products in its permanent collection. And they will make their debut at Salone del Mobile in June.

Designed by Gino Carollo, the Zea sideboard offers a creative twist on a classic piece of furniture. Named after the goddess of magic, the sideboard has magnetic handles that allow the user to easily change the look of the design. Made either with round or semi-circular shapes, the handles attach to the doors to the center or toward the edge. The user can also use one or two handles, in a symmetric or asymmetrical composition. Zea comes in a classic low version with a large central compartment and two side compartments or in a square-shaped cupboard version with three compartments. Glass shelves and metal feet complete the design. A wide range of colors, along with the option to pair two colors, provide many customization possibilities.

Multifunctional and practical as well as sophisticated.

Apart from Zea, Ronda Design will also launch two new products created by Studio 28. Mira is a multifunctional piece of furniture that works equally well as a dressing table or as a desk. Reminiscent of antique designs, this table features a slim metal frame and a ceramic top. Asymmetric geometry and rounded forms give the design an elegant as well as modern look. An integrated drawer pulls out and rotates around a pivot at 360°. Mira also comes with accessories: a mirror and a shelf. Like the sideboard, it’s available in many colors, with options ranging from Stippled Graphite or Stippled Light Blue for the metal section to Calacatta White or Marquinia Black for the ceramic top.

Finally, the Saturn lamp rounds up the trio of designs. Like its name suggests, it takes inspiration from Saturn’s rings. Made with a hefty cylindrical base, the lamp also features a thin ring that surrounds the LED bulb. The light illuminates with a warm glow of 3000K, but the lamp also has four brightness settings. The rechargeable and cordless Saturn lamp lasts around 15 hours on a full charge, offering a convenient way to take the light from one room to another. If you’re in Milan, you can visit the Ronda Design exhibition at the 12 Pavilion, Stand E14, between 7-12 June, 2022. Photographs © Ronda Design.
