Rival Multifunctional Task Chair by Konstantin Grcic

View all 12 Photos

Designed by Konstantin Grcic for Artek, the Rival Multifunctional Task Chair is the first collaboration between the industrial designer and the home interiors brand. Exuding what Grcic calls “home office typology,” the swivel chair is distinguished by its smooth surface and curves. Each chair is milled from a single log of birch wood, a process that brings utmost polish to the final look. The legs are made of solid birch, the upper frame of laminated birch, and the round seat of fabric or leather upholstery. The chair was presented at Milan Design Week and will soon be available from Artek in a variety of colors and both low- and high-backed versions.
