Design, Italians do it better

Riva Motor Boats Reimagined as Building Toys

View all 14 Photos

Designed by madeindreams for Riva Yacht, this sweet collection of toys reimagines real-life boats in miniature. The representations include Ariston, Aquarama, Aquariva, and Rivarama  motorboats and the one and only Riva Truck. Each figure is made in Italy from the same wood used to craft its full-scale counterpart. African mahogany, ash wood and Italian maple are seen throughout the series. The building toy is intended for children old enough to know not to put the pieces in their mouths, but the material is nonetheless chemical-free with the safe exception of water-based paint. Smart and handsomely finished, the madeindream’s Riva toys are a great gift for young boat lovers and anyone who likes collecting cool little designs. Photography by Michele Radice Fossati
