A celebration of technical elegance, this watch boasts a skeleton movement and sapphire crystal windows on both the front and back.

Introduced in the 1960s, the Rado DiaStar 1 provides the blueprint for a new, modern watch that embodies the brand’s innovative approach to design. Named the DiaStar Original Skeleton, this timepiece celebrates technical elegance. The watch features a skeleton movement which the user can admire through both the front and the back thanks to sapphire crystal windows. Unlike a minimalist watch, this timepiece puts the intricate movement fully on display. The R808 automatic caliber movement boasts an anthracite gray coating as well as various elements that create a beautiful, synchronized dance.

On the front, floating golden indexes and hands stand out against the dark gray hues of the dial. Additionally, they boast white Super-LumiNova coatings to glow in low-light conditions for optimal readability. Made from stainless steel, the 38mm case features a Ceramos bezel. Both sapphire crystal windows have anti-reflective finishes. As for the movement, it has an 80-hout power reserve and features an anti-magnetic Nivachron™ hairspring for exceptional precision. The watch also comes with a stainless steel bracelet that matches the case. Rado offers the strap in various sizes, allowing customers to select the perfect option for their wrist. Available now, the Rado DiaStar Original Skeleton Watch costs $2,050 and comes with free shipping in the US. Photography © Rado.
