The Quindio Coffee Set

A ceramic and wood pour-over coffee set designed with a warm minimalist aesthetic.

Launched by Barcelona-based Wolf & Miu, Quindio is the first coffee-focused product created by the design company. Similarly to other Wolf & Miu products, this coffee set is minimalist and modern as well as beautifully made. Designer and company co-founder Juan Ortiz created the pour-over coffee brewer with a combination of natural and warm materials: ceramic and wood. The set comprises a double-walled dripper, a carafe with a lid, and a stand. An opening on the stand corresponds to the spout of the carafe beneath the dripper while the vertical handle and tall cylindrical volumes mirror the silhouette of the stand. Clean and minimal, the set also has a design that focuses on producing great coffee.

The design team collaborated closely with coffee specialists from Spain and the UK on specific details that contribute to the quality of the brewed coffee. Plus, the double walls of the brewer ensure a constant temperature during the brewing process. Working with skilled ceramicists and woodworkers, the company produces the Quindio set in different versions. Coffee lovers can select between white or black ceramic, both options available with natural ash wood or walnut wood. Wolf & Miu makes the handcrafted set in limited batches, with each product boasting a number. Finally, the company also plans to launch a set of ceramic mugs later this winter. Available separately, they will feature a double-walled ceramic construction to maintain the temperature of the coffee for longer. Photography© Wolf & Miu.
