A beautiful collection of products made with Murano glass from Italy.

Founded in 2012, Italian brand Purho makes glassware, lighting, and furniture products that bring more magic to the everyday. The company’s name refers to divine purity and the way natural elements like water, earth, and fire along with human influence can transform it into something perfectly imperfect. Created in a collaboration with talented designers, the Purho collection combines creative design with tradition and the work of master glaziers. Using Murano glass from Italy, the brand brings stunning objects to life. These products blur the line between art and design while also offering a contemporary twist on age-old glass-making.

The Venetian glass from Murano features a mix of silicon dioxide, silica, calcium, and minerals in a balanced composition. Different blends offer variations in opacity, texture, and color, resulting in endless possibilities. Purho works with master glassblowers to craft each objects with Murano glass from Italy. These skilled artisans use various techniques like “incalmo”, filigree, or mosaic to create different effects. The line includes glassware, vases, bowls, lighting, and other glass objects, one more imaginative than the other.

The Pastelli range features glasses with stripe patterns in bold or more understated colors. Likewise, the Fila collection of tumblers have colorful bases. Inspired by the ritual of wine tasting, these glasses are as playful as they are modern. The Diamond range references classic multifaceted whiskey glasses, but has a bold character. In the Purho collection you can also find other items that feature Murano glass from Italy. They include lamps that celebrate the beauty of Sicily, skillfully crafted tables with geometric elements, and vases that pay homage to Edie Sedgwick. So far, the brand has collaborated with six designers and studios for the collection: Alessandro Mendini, Elena Cutolo, Karim Rashid, Filippo Feroldi, LPWK, and VI + M. Photographs© Purho.
