Private Cabin Retreat in Canada’s Muskoka Region

View all 8 Photos

Collaboratively made by BLDG Workshop and 608 Design, this Bunkie Co. studio gives the client a remote cabin retreat in the woods of Canada’s Muskoka region. The lakeside constructed was made of CNC-cut wood and prefabricated for minimal environmental impact. The serene design showcases the contrasting texture of the rustic exterior and slick interior, both of which are visible at once through the glass entrance and rear wall. Inside, one can enjoy yoga, strength training, and a view of surrounding forest and lake. Outside, the owners and their guests can huddle around the campsite, relax in the red lawn chairs, and admire the cabin’s gabled roof and elevated porch.
