Design, Italians do it better

Nicola Conti’s Slap Furniture

View all 10 Photos

Designed by Nicola Conti, Slap Furniture is a series of home furnishings with peeling corners. The flipped out edges function as handles and indicate where the seamless-looking designs can be opened. The inspired collection includes storage of various sizes, an entertainment center, a sink, and a bathtub. Many of the designs are elevated on splayed wooden legs, while others simply stand base-to-floor. All are painted white except for a peek of exposed wood. The varying forms bring a sense of movement and flow to the collection and the home.
