Creative ping pong tables that reinvent the classic game.

Largely unchanged since the late 19th century, the ping pong table gets a creative makeover thanks to French company NEDJ. Designed by Exercice studio, the NEDJ table tennis 2.0 collection transforms the classic game by putting the focus on strategy, experimentation, and on creating new rules. The unconventional designs reimagine table tennis to offer new gaming experiences. The collection comprises 4 different ping pong tables that each enable different ways to play the game.

Rebond has a futuristic look with angular shapes. Wider than a standard table, it boasts raised sides that allow players to play more technical games with low blows and strategic rebounds. The Golf table has a ribbon-like design with a thinner center and curved sides. While it promotes longer exchanges, this table also features two holes on each side to add another layer of fun to the game. The players can choose whether sending the ball through the opening marks a winning point or a loss. Like its name suggests, the Trio table features three sections. Inspired by the work of Danish artist and author Asger Jorn, this ping pong table is specially made for 3 players and encourages strategy and collaboration. Finally, the Turning table has a circular shape for spinning games. Compact and perfectly rounded, the table allows players to move smoothly and safely around the tabletop.

Apart from their imaginative designs, the NEDJ ping pong tables are also crafted by skilled carpenters. Made in Auvergne, France, each table features a varnished birch plywood frame and a laminated wood top. Plus, all tables have an easy assembly mechanism. Featuring no screws or glue, the different parts come together in a few minutes, without the need for any tools. The user only needs to interlock the components like a simple puzzle and start playing. NEDJ also offers a set of 12 quirky paddles that have unconventional designs and shapes to bring even more fun to the game. Photography © NEDJ.
