Multifunctional and Made-to-Order: The SHIFT Table by Spell

View all 7 Photos

New from the Dutch design studio Spell, the SHIFT Table is a multifunctional piece of furniture that shifts gears as quickly as you do. Fit for work and personal life, the home office design transforms from a laptop desk to a dining table. There are one or two customizable drawers located underneath the tabletop, and these are spacious enough to hid charging electronics and cables. In this way, the SHIFT Table encourages you to put the computer away and bring out the candlesticks when you eat a meal, making dinner special without taking up additional space in the room. The minimalist design is crafted from solid oak and finished in one’s choice of natural, white, or gray satin matte lacquer. Made-to-order, the dual-purpose furnishing comes with customizable drawer options, including folding and sliding mechanisms, and is available online from Spell in four sizes, priced from €1995.
