Much Loved by Mark Nixon

Love. It’ll tear you to pieces. Make a fool out of you. Knock you right off your feet.
With the faithful company from a child, these bears, bunnies, and lovies have the scars to prove it. Mark Nixon is photographing a collection of tattered and worn stuffed animals calling it Much Loved. He showcases them as fine pieces of art, exulting the missing appendages and scuffed fur. It is an endearing series that honors each teddy by telling their story, allowing us to connect with the injuries so appreciating all they gave on the front line of snuggling.
