If you’re thinking about finally going on that trip to Berlin or if you’re a local in need of a relaxing getaway close to home, you should definitely check out Modern Boat. This charming and stylish houseboat was designed by the two brothers who founded Welcome Beyond, a company that represents boutique hotels and vacation homes all over the world.

Located on the river Spree, in the eastern part of the lively metropolis, the boat is secluded, surrounded by nature, and offers gorgeous views of the water, vegetation and the city. Floor-to-ceiling windows maximize the vistas and allow guests to unwind after a day of exploring Berlin. Minimalist furniture, concrete and wooden surfaces, as well as cozy lounging spaces create an airy, relaxing atmosphere in this home away from home. Inside, guests will find a large bedroom, living room with a fireplace, a bathroom and a kitchen.

Nearby, there are cafés and restaurants, as well as public transportation that will take guests to the center of the city in just 15 minutes. Two bicycles are also provided for those who want to explore the area or reach the popular Friedrichshain district to find a wider selection of restaurants and coffee places. A deck area offers the ideal space to relax on summer evenings and enjoy a glass of wine and good company while admiring the view. Find out more about Modern Boat and book your next getaway on the official website. Photography by Ana Santl.
