Max Bill 2017 Limited Edition Collection By Junghans

We have some good news for Bauhaus fans who also love stylish watches. German brand Junghans recently launched an ultra-limited edition of timepieces that pay homage to Swiss architect and designer Max Bill. The two wristwatch models feature a clean, elegant design. One has a minimal, lined index dial, while the other boasts classic Max Bill typography with Roman numerals marking the hours. On the back, both watches feature the “Variation 1” print from the “Graphic Series”, a vibrant geometric artwork which the artist described as “a pure interaction of form and color … the sole purpose of which is to delight with its existence.”

The watches come with a 38mm case, a scratch-resistant cover, and a J645.33 quartz movement; the black calfskin straps feature green or blue lining that complements the artwork. The Max Bill Limited Edition set also includes a table clock. The collection is available in a limited edition of 222 – a play on the number ‘22’ which had a special meaning for the artist.
