The Marshmallow Ping Pong Table

A table design that creates a play between solidity and flexibility.

With the rise of lounge and play areas in offices and the increase of game rooms in living spaces, we’ve seen a range of designs that provide various solutions to a growing demand. Examples include The Pure foosball table as well as the You and Me table. Czech designers Adam Štok and Monika Kozderková, co-founders of Studio Vono, have recently introduced their cool ping pong table design.

The Marshmallow ping pong table has a bold design that explores the limits and the potential of metal. Using a hydraulic press, the designers made flattened elements that create a play between strength and flexibility. The table’s name references the malleability of metal in extreme conditions, linking it to the softness of the sweet treat.

A blend of minimalism and function, the Marshmallow table enhances interiors with a sculptural design that also creates a focal point in a public space or a spacious game room. Ultimately, this cool ping pong table design aims to bring people together and encourage play. The metal build features bent metal pipe legs and a top with clean lines. A black finish and a white stripe on the center of the tabletop highlights the elegance of the design further. Photographs© Tomáš Slavík.
