Maiden Home’s Spring Collection

A minimalist and sculptural collection that celebrates the beauty of natural materials and artisanal techniques.

Inspired by the beauty of nature, the Spring Collection from New York-based Maiden Home features minimalist designs and sculptural forms that put the focus on natural materials and traditional craftsmanship. The furniture range also draws inspiration from the landscapes of Northern California, the original home of company founder Nidhi Kapur. For this collection, Maiden Home used simple designs that put the natural materials and artisan techniques in the best light.

Crafted from solid ash wood and soft nubuck leather, the products also feature natural finishes and treatments. For example, an ebonizing technique that darkens wood naturally with a deep, warm tone that chemical processes can’t match. Every product is carefully made by hand in North Carolina and shares a name with a destination in California. The Maiden Home Spring Collection comprises a sofa, an armchair, tables, a stool, and a bench. The Muir Sofa features plush cushions on a wooden base with a built-in side table, while the Perry Chair features soft, textured shearling upholstery and wooden legs. Designed as nesting tables, the Morro Tables come in Charcoal and Driftwood finishes that enhance the beauty of solid ash wood.

The Reyes Stool doubles as a side table and also comes with a nubuck leather cushion. Likewise, the matching Reyes Bench has an ash wood build with brass detailing and comes with an optional leather cushion. Made to order, the products from the collection take between 4 to 16 weeks to complete by master artisans. Maiden Home also offers a range of customization options for the furniture. For example, the sofa and armchair come in a wide range of textile and leather upholstery options. Photographs© Maiden Home.
