A fierce custom bike that makes the most of the beloved café racer.

German bike workshop Hookie Co. designs motorcycles with a more creative touch. We’ve previously written about their falcon-inspired BMW R nineT and their handy plug-and-play kits that can transform a Ducati into a cyberpunk-style bike. With this Cobra “Toxic Red” BMW R nineT, Hookie Co. offers a modern take on the popular bike. Part of the limited-edition Cobras series, the bike features angular forms and a sculptural tank. Using a brand-new BMW R nineT, the workshop customizes the frame and also adds a set of modern elements to give the bike a completely new look.

This fierce café racer features a straight top frame rail, a sporty front fender, a Koso Thunderbolt LED headlight installed in a custom cowl, acrylic red lights at the front and back, heated grips, and bronze fork tubes. The 1,170cc flat-twin engine now comes with a new intake system with pod filters and a custom exhaust system. Other features include anti-lock brakes, automatic stability control, and Michelin Power GP performance tires. Keeping true to its name, this custom motorcycle boasts red accents that complement the dark gray and bronze color palette. Apart from Toxic Red, the Cobra series also includes Electric Yellow, Dark Copper, Ice Blue, and Stealth Pattern color options. However, the limited-edition bikes come in only 10 units. Available to pre-order only, the prices start around $38,000-$40,000 but that includes a new BMW R nineT bike. Photography© Hookie Co.
