Designed by Kama Jania, the ‘Bolt’ tents solve a very serious problem that some campers aren’t even aware of. Even though it is a rare occurrence, 96% of people are struck by lighting while in an open environment, and that includes those who are camping, hiking, or mountain climbing. To counteract this disconcerting statistic, the industrial design studio has developed a line of tents that eliminates the risks of being struck by lightning while being caught outdoors in unfavorable weather. The three designs all include bright orange aluminum poles placed in a structure that surrounds the blue weatherproof material, offering full lightning protection. The powerful contrast of these two color tones along with the structured fabric featuring geometric patterns and sharp angles creates a striking visual effect. All three tents, Bolt-One, Bolt-Half and Bolt-Air are not only safe, easy to setup and stylish, they are also practical and comfortable. The lightweight construction ensures easy transportation, while the waterproof groundsheet and fabric provide protection from the elements. A convenient PVC window allows the occupants to enjoy a perfect view of the outside world, whether it’s a multi-colored sunrise by the sea or a beautiful thunder storm casting light across a pine forest rising from a mountain side. The elegant Bolt tents bring peace of mind and provide an innovative camping solution for those who love to spend time outdoors.
