Le Stylobate Collection aims to redefine lounging spaces by allowing endless customization. Designed by Cédric Canaud, the five-piece collection includes a pillow, blanket, support blocs, mattress, and armchair. Whether used on their own or as a modular system, the objects provide an opportunity to create a personal relaxation space and change it according to one’s needs. The aesthetic takes inspiration from nature and modern design, but also adds minimalism and optimum comfort to the mix. Contrasts abound. For example, the mattress features marble patterns on its silicone skin, yet it offers a smooth and comfortable seating surface. The pillow resembles a large rock and even seems to display tool marks, but it’s made of soft memory foam.

Made of plywood, the armchair comes in a single or two-seater design. As a plain object, it invites the user to add other elements in order to come up with the ideal lounging design. Then modify the entire set-up as needed, in endless combinations. The foam blocs act as armrests, backrests or footrests, while the blanket doubles as a floor cover. Creative details include the use of climbing rope as an eye-catching accent and the captivating stone and marble patterns. High-quality and durable, the collection features PU foam, stainless steel and leather as well as Italian felt. Images courtesy of Cédric Canaud.
