LC Shutters Pendant Light by Louise Campbell

View all 4 Photos

Danish/English designer Louise Campbell created the “LC Shutters” pendant light for the UK based lighting company Louis Poulsen, its meant to be simple and modern not only in its aesthetic but also in the manufacturing process. There’s only three steps in the production process, first turn in the shade, then stamp the pattern, and finally paint. A new tool’s been developed for cutting the patterns onto the lamp shade, it’s capable of stamping with millimeter-precision along the curved surface. In terms of lighting quality, the light is glare free because the bulb is protected by a diffuser, it shields any direct light from the viewer while eliminating harsh shadows.
