Recently, Benjamin Hubert of design studio LAYER has jumped ahead of the pack with a groundbreaking product. Created in a collaboration with fintech startup Trove, this digital wallet and app system is a must-have accessory for cryptocurrency users. At the same time, it also aims to simplify the concept and introduce it to those who haven’t yet embraced cryptocurrency. Currently in the prototype stage, TROVE has been in development for a year. Unhackable, unloseable and accessible via a biometric system, this is the best BTC wallet we’ve seen.
Trove comes with four parts: Coin, Keep, Safe, and the Trove app. All of them work together to offer the safest and most reliable way to store and use digital money, day after day. The aluminum Coin stores cryptocurrency offline, which means that it minimizes the threat of hacking. It comes with an ingenious biometric unlocking system that ensures only the user has access to the contents. Coin uses not a fingerprint, but an ECG signature, recognizing the user’s unique heartbeat pattern. By touching the contact area on the front, the users can activate Coin’s Bluetooth and access the app. Thus, remembering passwords becomes a thing of the past. Coin comes in two materials: black aerated aluminum or silver anodized aluminum.
Both versions fit inside Keep perfectly. Made of volcanic rock and polycarbonate, this container looks gorgeous while also bringing peace of mind thanks to its tough build. Keep is conveniently powered by a USB-C port and charges Coin via induction. Designed to complement the user’s own style and preferences, Coin comes with three different accessory options. It attaches magnetically to either the wristband, neck pendant, or brooch to become a style statement. The wristband features a range of Kvadrat textiles, while the necklace has a reversible design and comes with interchangeable bands. Crafted from terrazzo, foamed ceramic, or acrylic, these decorative fascias enhance the beautiful design.
Like Coin, Safe offers the perfect solution to store cryptocurrencies in an unhackable product, but at home. This component of the system looks like a wall tile to blend into a decor seamlessly and hide its real purpose. Finally, the Trove app allows the users to easily access the wallet. They can buy, sell, compare different cryptocurrencies, see their spending history and even consult an AI financial adviser, with a tracking function also keeping tabs on Coin’s location at all times.
