Odor and stain resistant polo shirts made of 100% cotton.

Following on the footsteps of their innovative stain repellent shirts and t-shirts, LABFRESH has recently launched a new design to join their ever-growing collection of cutting-edge wardrobe essentials. And just like their previous crowdfunded projects, this one is already a resounding success. Backed in the first hour, the Kickstarter campaign is now almost 800% funded, with 15 days still remaining at the time of writing. Looking at the shirt’s features, it’s easy to see why the concept has resonated with thousands of customers. The LABFRESH Polo shirt features a groundbreaking cotton material that resists staining and the growth of bacteria, but offers the same soft feel and breathability of classic cotton. Yes, these stain resistant polo shirts look great, regardless how clumsy you are with a glass of red wine.

To make the design, company co-founders Lotte Vink and Kasper Brandi Petersen traveled to Switzerland and Portugal. They worked with the best fabric innovators and manufacturers to make a cutting-edge material for the polo. And the result? A sustainable 100% cotton pique textile made with a FreshCore™ treatment. This technology creates a protective layer to shield the fibers against water-based stains and bacteria. Soft and breathable, the shirt feels comfortable to wear, just like an untreated cotton polo. Yet the exterior repels stains like coffee, red wine, and beetroot while the interior is odor-repellent and anti-bacterial.

As the polo remains fresher and cleaner for longer, the user can wash it less. “Today we know that our customers wear our products on average 3-5 times in between washes, which makes me happy because it means we are reducing the environmental impact of wearing clothes. And because they wash less the clothing will look nice for longer, which means they also shop less”, explains Lotte Vink.

Made in the EU, the LABFRESH stain resistant polo shirts are also engineered to last a lifetime. This sounds fantastic, especially as the polo is a true classic, timeless design that won’t go out of style. The Kickstarter campaign provides a choice between Gray, Light Blue, White, and Navy colors. You can back the campaign until June 12, 2019, and receive your own LABFRESH Polo this August.
