Journeymen Refines the Ubiquitous Deodorant

View all 4 Photos

Everyday necessities are usually made with convenience in mind, sacrificing style and refinement to provide practical and functional products that often do what they’re supposed to do, nothing more, nothing less. To change this perception, two friends founded Journeymen, a company that aims to redefine the classic deodorant with a new line of premium body-care products for men, made using natural ingredients, a simple composition and modern scents. The first product launched by the company is Fragrance No. 1 and it’s currently available in two versions, a deodorant stick and a spray. In terms of scent, the top note is cypress leaf, while the background is smoky red cedar. Essential oils, Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel, and organic chamomile also are added to the formula, but no aluminum or parabens can be found on the list of ingredients, bringing more peace of mind. The packaging is elegant and minimalist, with white text on a black background on the front and black font listing the ingredients on a white backdrop on the back, for a more masculine appearance. The deodorant is made in the US, and to keep in line with the green manufacturing approach, the company donates 1% of the sales to the 1% For The Planet organization. Images courtesy of Journeymen.
