A Jaime Hayon retrospective that showcases the award-winning designer’s most emblematic work.
Spanish designer Jaime Hayon is one of the most original voices in contemporary design. His distinctive style blends bold colors and organic forms with artistic elements. Working in different mediums, the designer creates award-winning work that is as fascinating as it is idiosyncratic. Now, fans of his designs and design lovers have the opportunity to admire Jaime Hayon’s work up close. Organized and produced in a collaboration between Consorci de Museus de la Comunitat Valenciana and the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània, the Jaime Hayon: InfinitaMente exhibition showcases some of the most iconic work produced by the celebrated designer. The show includes both artworks and product designs spanning a period of 20 years.
The curated pieces offer a glimpse into Hayon’s creative process, with sketches, tools, and materials also included. One area displays installations along with ceramic and glass objects and sculptures, while another features some of the designer’s most emblematic furniture, lighting, and product designs. The exhibition also includes a selection of works that have never been exhibited in Spain until now. Among them, Mesamachine, Masquemask, and Mediterranean Digital Baroque, as well as large-scale sculptures and paintings. Part of the World Design Capital Valencia 2022 event, the Jaime Hayon: InfinitaMente exhibition opened on September 22 and runs until April 16, 2023, at the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània in Valencia, Spain.
