If you have a motorcycle, you can jump for joy right about now. Why, you ask? Because Iron & Resin and Ridgemont Outfitters have decided to collaborate on a pair of motorcycle sneaker boots. And the result is even more impressive than you might think. This is the footwear bike lovers didn’t even know they were waiting for.
The IR X RM Outback Shoe is truly special, in the sense that it introduces a few innovative features to make them a must-have for any bike aficionado. First, the extended toe cap provides shifter protection. Second, the stiffened mid foot and heel helps to deflect kicks. Then there’s the comfort. Fully waterproof, breathable lining, a soft collar made of oiled suede with a soft nylon protector for the ankle bone, as well as a flexible front.
And we should definitely talk about the design. Apart from its motorcycle-ready construction, the IR X RM Outback Shoe is seriously cool. A perfect blend of sneakers and boots, the shoes also have a vintage urban look and feel to them. The icing on the cake? The upper is made of genuine Horween, full-grain leather produced in the company’s Chicago tannery. Available on Kickstarter in brown and black, the IR X RM Outback Shoe comes at a reduced priced for backers, with t-shirts also offered as a separate reward.
