Architecture, Italians do it better

Industrial Apartment Renovation in Milan

View all 13 Photos

Renovated and restored by Cristina Meschi, this Italian apartment serves as a low-maintenance home base for a single owner who often travels for work. The 30mq (30 square meters) space embodies a relaxed industrial feel, thanks to its exposed brick and concrete walls. Cabinets and other storage solutions keep the city-sized studio clutter-free, and stainless steel ladders make the most of the space’s height. The bedroom is lofted for extra privacy, and the sofa doubles as a second bed for guests. Minimal yet versatile, the urban flat is a great adaptation of historical architecture in Milan.
