The Hudson 38 Automatic Watch

View all 6 Photos

A vintage-style modern watch.

Founded by two Dutchmen, Maen Watches draws inspiration from Dutch heritage in general and from the country’s influence on old New York in particular. As a result, the brand’s timepieces have a subtle vintage-inspired aesthetic that blends modern design cues, urban style, and traditional craftsmanship. The handcrafted watches also feature an impressive attention to detail, with every component designed to perfection. The Stockholm-based company will soon launch a new model to expand the current Maen collection. Named Hudson Automatic, the watch features a vintage-inspired design as well as modern details.

The timepiece comes in 38mm and 42mm versions. The former accentuates the old-time feel of the watch, while the later gives it a more contemporary look. A standard model will boast a date window, but the brand plans to launch a version without one. The jet black sandblasted rehaut dial comes with contrasting silver and red details. Other features include a small bezel, double-domed sapphire crystal, and an ETA 2824-2 Swiss automatic movement.

Apart from several color combinations, Hudson Automatic will also come in a 10ATM or a 20ATM version. Maen launches the timepiece on Kickstarter on May 1 at a highly discounted price. Early bird packages will include the best prices as well as the first edition watch with an engraved caseback and a certificate. Those who want to have the best chance to get their hands on the Hudson Automatic can sign up for exclusive campaign info on the Maen website. Photographs© Maen Watches.
