House S is all about the angles. Designed by Nimmrichter cda, the house is dictated by the client’s desire for varying degrees – no pun intended – of seclusion and openness. From its vantage point on a plain of green in Dietlikon, Switzerland, House S features a patio and pool, both of which protrude from the main volume of the house. The wooden-clad and angled façade of House S is a precursor to its interior elements. The stairs between the two floors are framed by a table extension, highlighting the natural incline, while the space carved out for the kitchen provides a contrast with its orthogonal forms and red-and-black color scheme.
