A walkthrough of Hotel B4 Milano is a visual assault of color and lights, just as Simone Micheli and had intended with the high-tech, gutsy design. Combining the futuristic look with the psychedelic color wheel of the 80’s as inspiration for a hotel in the present, Micheli delivers a fun-loving environment for vacationers in Milan. The reflective green façade of the tower, accented by red cuts in the volume, transforms into a glowing blue by nightfall as an indication of the lively activities within the building. Inside, the white walls are a backdrop for the chartreuse and purple furniture, and also for the glow of the cerulean light fixtures. Organic forms and curves dominate the interior design, and also serve as a unifying theme for the individual guestrooms, which are appropriately less loud in personality so to provide a restful night’s sleep after party hours.
