Located in Międzyzdroje, Poland, in an old tenement building dating back to the 1920s, this apartment still displays original features that remind of its past. The owners of the compact but charming property hired the Loft Kolasiński studio to transform the interior into a modern living space which preserves the character of the historical building. The stylish Holiday Apartment in Międzyzdroje celebrates the past in a creative way. Similarly to other projects completed by the studio, the dwelling features a refined décor that blends new furniture designed by Loft Kolasiński and restored vintage items. The latter come from various countries, including Italy, Denmark, the Czech Republic, or Poland.
Bright white walls enhance the airy ambience, making the rooms seem more spacious, while natural light floods the interior. Wooden floors and furniture add a rustic accent to the elegant living spaces. The clean lines and minimalist aesthetic allow the textures of the painted brick and solid wood to stand out, in a perfect balance between organic and modern. The carefully chosen vintage furniture, carpets, and lighting blend into the décor, proving that good design ages like fine wine. Photographs© Karolina Bąk.
