A minimalist wall clock created by the award-winning designer.
Wall clocks have an enduring charm, especially in the world of smartphones and smartwatches. Analog designs even more so. The HAY Wall Clock is a perfect example. Originally introduced in 2008, the timepiece was designed by award-winning designer Jasper Morrison and is now part of the HAY collection. Minimalist and versatile, the clock blends into any space with ease, whether it’s a family kitchen or a busy office. The aluminum case has an elegantly curved shape and a thin edge that lets the dial take center stage. In true Jasper Morrison fashion, the dial boasts no superfluous details.
Clean and uncluttered, the clock’s face feature slim line markers and creative 0-2-4-6-8-10 hour markers instead of the classic 12-3-6-9. The smooth second hand moves seamlessly and doesn’t make a sound, which means that the clock is perfect for quiet workspaces or bedrooms. While originally introduced only in Black and White versions, the HAY Wall Clock now also comes in bold colors. Furniture, lighting, and accessories brand HAY added two colors that enhance the minimalist design: Dark Green and Light Blue. While the black and white versions of the HAY Wall Clock feature a red second hand, the other two have a yellow second hand. You can find all four in HAY’s online store, priced at $95.
