The Gioi Table and Stool

View all 6 Photos

Modern outdoor furniture made of terracotta.

Designed by Mario Scairato, this terracotta furniture set draws inspiration from the ancient amphorae, the jars used for food and wine storage. The designer also wanted to create a design that could live in symbiosis with nature and age gracefully. Contemporary and minimalist, the set combines modern simplicity and rustic charm with Italian design. Both the Gioi table and the Cave stool feature a terracotta build. Made by Gusmano Manetti & figli, each product is expertly crafted to not only stand the test of time, but to also withstand any weather conditions. As a result, the terracotta stool and terracotta table are resistant to the elements and to ice. This means that they can become a permanent part of any outdoor space, whether in a garden or a terrace.

The warm colors of the material look natural in nature and perfectly complement both clay plant pots or stone paving. Gioia features two elements: a column-like base and a top with curved edges. The user can easily assemble the two parts, as they fit together perfectly and the weighty base provides perfect stability. Distinctly contemporary, the stool has an open section that makes it easy to move it if needed. Both the terracotta table and the seating will become even more beautiful over time as the surface will develop a patina. Gioia and Cave come in two colors: Natural Terracotta and Tobacco Terracotta. Made to order, this terracotta outdoor furniture set is currently available through InternoItaliano. Photographs© InternoItaliano.
