We are so over those prepackaged meals, the microwaveable noodle surprise, (should I even go there, yup I’m going there) cereal for dinner. I know, now I ruined your go to meal.  Stay with me here, and get a load of these mouth waterers.
Polish photographer Ania Wawrzkowicz sets the table with the fullest volume of intent. She dines with us over delicious apricot tarts, an ethnic variety joining figs and chocolate bars, making it even more personal with individual potpies, comforting and piping hot. In the story of the dish you will often find trails of the ingredients. They stagger behind, remnants of melon seeds, egg shells, saffron tips dirty the counter with a sweet reminder of the hands that prepared. Each photo, perfectly arranged, takes us on a feel, an experience, we almost smell the sticky sauces, the fresh fruits cut open before us.

The real truth is in the details here if you allow your imagination to take you behind each place mat: from a glimpse of a lush island vacation echoing sounds of monkeys and canaries between bites or perhaps the tale of a marital affair with loyalty to the wind, indulgence at large. Maybe the table is set for the rustic beauty in a farmhouse family after a long day of harvest or a seaside picnic with the fresh catch of the day still dressed in coveralls and wellies. Whichever the scene, our minds have been lead to run wild, and we applaud such fine art to take us there.
